2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 High Country vs LTZ

Cabin Features

It might be easier to list everything these two upper-end trims don’t offer. But we’ll do our best. The LTZ offers standard features like 10-way power driver seat with lumbar support, 10-way power front passenger seat, driver seat memory, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front outboard seats, inside rearview auto-dimming mirror, leather-wrapped and heated steering wheel, and perforated leather-appointed seat trim. Oh, and also almost every standard feature found on all the lower trim levels to boot.

By comparison, the High Country is the pinnacle of Silverado truck perfection. Accordingly, this trim level gives you carpeted floor mats, front bucket seats, heated rear outboard seats, power sliding rear window with defogger, up-level rear seat with storage package, and ventilated front seats.

Under the Hood

This is what you came for. The raw muscle under the hood that powers the truck to work its herculean feats. And we have good news for you. You have your choice between two great engines whether you choose the LTZ or High Country. First up, you can get the 5.3-liter V8 with 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. Or for a bit more, you can get the top-of-the-line 6.2-liter V8 with a mind-melting 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. That’s the best you can in a Chevy Silverado and one of the best in this class.

Price

Since you’re looking at top-tier trim levels, money might be no object to you. Maybe you simply want the best truck available. But, just in case you do have a limit, we’ll run the numbers past you. The 2019 Chevy Silverado LTZ starts at $43,000. We’ve already run through the standard equipment earlier, so let’s look at the Silverado High Country. That’s a bit costlier, starting at $53,000. To either trim level, you can throw in a Performance Upgrade package that adds performance air intake and a cat-back performance exhaust or a Max Trailering package to take your towing to the next level. Finally, for you adventurous types, there’s a Z71 Off-Road package that lets you take the road less traveled with ease.
